Angelo ‘Micky’ Nardone, 79, of East South Street in Wilkes-Barre died Friday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born September 21, 1930 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Alfonso and Anna Colarusso Nardone.
A graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School, Micky was self-employed in the floor covering business before retiring.
An enthusiastic conversationalist, he enjoyed passing time at flea markets and yard sales, fishing, playing pool and working in woodcrafts.
His wife, Benetta Perez Nardone died August 26, 2008. Sisters and brothers, Clementine, Alfonso, Joseph, Thomas and Anthony Nardone and Mary Cramer also preceded him in death.
Surviving are his children, Maria and her husband Peter Yurchision of Shavertown, Peter and his wife Mindy Nardone of Freeland and Paul Nardone of Scranton; grandchildren, Amy and Peter Yurchision; brother, Peter T. Nardone of Wilkes-Barre and sister, Mrs. Marie Olympia Mahon of Wilkes-Barre.
Celebration of Micky’s Life will be held Wednesday at 9 AM from McLaughlin's Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 09:30 AM in Church of the Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin’s on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM
