Ann Theresa Kelly Manfre, 87, a former longtime resident of Hanover Township passed away Friday at Little Flower Manor.
Born November 6, 1926 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late Michael and Veronica Kelly.
Ann was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School and retired from Bell Telephone Company (Verizon).
Mrs. Manfre was a member of the Parish of Saint Robert Bellarmine and its Altar & Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Verizon Pioneers, Saint Aloysius and Saint Therese's Senior Citizens and volunteered at Mercy Hospital.
Her husband, Robert J. Manfre passed away August 2, 1994.
She will be greatly missed by her sons, Charles J. and his wife Valerie and Michael P. and his wife Teresa; granddaughters, Michelle Manfre, Denise and her husband Jesse Mendoza, Karen Manfre and Marie Manfre and her fiancé Rob Miller; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan and Vera Manfre, Robbie, Zachary and Kaitlyn Miller; other family and friends.
The entire family is grateful to the staff who cared for Ann during her years at Little Flower Manor.
Celebration of Ann’s Life will begin Sunday with visitation from 2 to 5 PM at McLaughlin’s – The Family Funeral Service, 142 S. Washington St. in Wilkes-Barre. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 9 AM in the Chapel at Little Flower Manor, 200 South Meade Street in Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
