Anne Regina Brennan, 79, of Old Bridge, NJ, and formerly of Lincroft, NJ passed away June 7, 2017 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge.
Anne was born in Wilkes Barre, PA on July 29, 1937 to Edward J. Brennan and Anna E. Fisher Brennan. She graduated from Saint Nicholas High School in 1955 and continued her education at College Misericordia and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing where she earned a BSN Ed. Later, Anne went on to earn a Masters degree from Kean College of New Jersey in Public School Administration.
Anne enjoyed a fulfilling nursing career which included many roles such as staff nursing, clinical instruction, and finally, school nursing and administration in the Middletown Township Public School System, from where she retired in 2003. She was a parishioner and choir member for many years at the Church of St. Leo the Great in Lincroft, NJ, and a current parishioner of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Old Bridge.
Anne enjoyed antiquing, gardening, movies, reading, singing, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Anne also had a special love of animals and opera music. She was always ready to help anyone in need and had a kind and generous spirit.
Her parents Edward and Anna; her twin sister Regina and younger sister, Mary, preceded her in death.
Anne will be greatly missed by her sister Alethea Brennan, of Edwardsville, PA; children Michael Zeto and wife, Lisa of New Providence, NJ; Alethea Spear and husband Stephen, of Cockeysville, MD; Jennifer Wilson of Huntersville, NC; Edward Zeto of Pottstown, PA; and Matthew Zeto and wife Sandra, of Freehold, NJ and eleven beloved grandchildren: Tyler, Ryan, Anna, Alexandra, Robert, Sarah, Caroline, Lily, Madeline, Gabriella and Quentin. Anne will also dearly miss her beloved dog, Coconut, who brought her much love and companionship.
Visitation with the family will be held at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan on Sunday from 2 to 6 PM.
Celebration of Anne's Life will begin Monday with visitation from 10 to 11 AM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes Barre followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas. Interment will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
