Anne Rettenmeyer Hartley, 87, of Wilkes-Barre died Wednesday, August 12, 2015.
Born January 31, 1928 in Pittston she was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Mary M. Sheridan Rettenmeyer.
A graduate of Saint John the Evangelist High School, Anne worked for Bell Telephone Company prior to her marriage, and dedicated the rest of her life to caring for her family.
Her husband, Donald C. Hartley died August 4, 2003. Brothers, Frank, Michael and James Rettenmeyer also preceded her in death.
Anne will be greatly missed by her children, Donald and his wife Sandy Hartley of Powhatan, Virginia, Patricia and her husband Sean Keating of Wilkes-Barre and Michael and his wife Maria Hartley of Plains; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Celebration of Anne’s Life will begin Sunday with visitation from 2 to 5 PM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and continue there Monday with gathering at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Aloysius. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
