Anne P. Leshnauskas Watkins, 86, formerly of the North End section and B’nai Brith Apartments in Wilkes-Barre died Friday at Hospice Community Care.
Born 23 July 1923 in Kingston she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Eva Degutis Leshnauskas.
Anne was a 1942 graduate of Kingston High School.
Before retiring, Anne worked in the bookkeeping and receiving department of Friedman's Express.
Anne was a member of Saint Mary's Annunciation Parish in Kingston and was an accomplished pianist.
Her husband, Garfield Watkins died 11 May 2000 and a sister, Adele Rogers died in 1971.
Surviving are her son, Gary and his wife Ellen Watkins of Wilkes-Barre, nephews, Barry and his wife Betsy Rogers of Kingston, PA and David and his wife Marion Rogers of Dallas, PA, a niece, Alice Leoszewski of Kingston, and several great-nieces and -nephews
Celebration of Anne’s Life will be held Monday at 09:30 AM from McLaughlin’s Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Church of Saint Ignatius. Interment will be in St. Mary's Annunciation Cemetery in Pringle.
