Anthony James Pawlica, 24, of Academy Street in Wilkes-Barre died Thursday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley.
Born December 11, 1986 in Passaic, New Jersey he was a son of the late Franciszek (Frank) and Elzbieta (Elizabeth) Soltys Pawlica.
Tony was educated in schools in Wilkes-Barre, Hanover, Solomon-Plains and Wyoming Area where he graduated in 2008.
Tony made many friends through his kind heart and warm smile during his education and participation in the programs at Day Development in Kingston and Senior Care of Plains.
He was a long-time member of the former Church of Saint Therese.
Anthony will be missed by his sister, Agnes Soltys and her companion Michael Serafini of Wilkes-Barre; nephews, Noah Joseph and Grayson Michael; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Anthony’s Life will be held Saturday at 8:30 AM from McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9 AM in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Hanover Township.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin’s on Saturday from 7 to 9 AM.
