Betty Fitelson August 5, 2015
Mrs. Elizabeth Fitelson passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 5, 2015 with her dear friend Sheila Spaide by her side.
Born May 19, 1918 in Wilkes-Barre she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Law Roberts.
Betty graduated from Meyers High School in 1936 and was a member of the National Honor Society. She attended Bloomsburg State Teacher's College and earned her BS degree from College Misericordia. She taught in the elementary grades of Crestwood School District for thirty-three years, and was also employed as a playground instructor for many summers.
Betty was a longtime member of the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of Tau Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma, served on Your-City Club, Wyoming Woman's Club, and Retired Teachers Association.
Betty was an avid bridge player and a member of many bridge clubs. She loved the sun and the sea: she and her husband, Philip, spent many vacations in Atlantic City and Florida. They enjoyed many cruises to Bermuda, and were members of the Mariners Club of Holland America Cruise Lines.
Her husband, Philip died February 10, 1990.

A private Funeral Mass was celebrated in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment was in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
