Carol Lacina Baldacci, 70, of Wyoming died Sunday.
Born January 19, 1944 in West Wyoming she was a daughter of the late George and Josephine Olszyk Lacina.
Carol was a graduate of West Wyoming High School.
Before retiring Carol worked for Owens-Illinois Corporation for fifteen years. She was also employed in the local garment industry and worked for Mary MacIntosh and briefly at King's College.
A member of the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima and communicant at the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception, Carol was deeply devoted to Saint Ann.
A sister, Dorothy Godamski preceded her in death.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Joseph R. Baldacci; step-children, Mary Ann and her husband David Evanko of Dunmore and Richard and his wife Tanya Baldacci of Springbrook Township; grandchildren, Kelly Evanko, Stefanie and her husband Ryan Smith, Brittney and her husband Donnie Lee and Emily Baldacci; great-grandchildren, Donnie Lee and Mason Baldacci; sisters, Theresa and her husband Frank Affeldt of Plymouth Meeting and Charlotte Lacina of Kingston; seven nieces and nephews; nineteen great-nieces and –nephews; other family and friends.
Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held Thursday at 9 AM from McLaughlin’s – The Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in Italian American Cemetery in Scranton.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM.
