Catherine Klein Carmick

Catherine Klein Carmick, 85, of South Abington Township and a long-time resident of Hagerstown, Maryland died Wednesday.

Born July 31, 1926 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late Charles and Marie Pissott Klein.

Catherine was a graduate of Saint Nicholas High School.

Although she dedicated most of her life to being a loving wife and mother, Catherine worked briefly for Bell Telephone Company and Sears, Roebuck and Company.

Catherine was a member of Our Lady of Snows Christian Mothers in Clarks Summit.

Her husband, Robert L. Carmick died July 2, 2009. A sister, Rosemary Keating also preceded her in death.

Catherine will be missed by her children, Kathy and her husband Frank McDonald of Clarks Summit, Karen and her husband James Maggi of West Sayville, New York and Robert C. and his wife Dawn Carmick of Walkersville, Maryland, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Celebration of Catherine’s Life will be held Wednesday at 8:30 AM from McLaughlin's Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Church of Saint Nicholas. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.

Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Tuesday from 6 to 9 PM
