Catherine T. Macking November 30th 2009
Catherine T. Nolan Macking, 87, of Crescent Avenue in Wilkes-Barre died Monday at Hospice Community Care.
Born June 10th 1922 in Frackville she was a daughter of the late Edward J. and Roberta A. Morgan Nolan.
Catherine was a 1941 graduate of E.L. Meyers High School in Wilkes-Barre.
Before retiring in 1998, Catherine was a buyer for Fowler, Dick and Walker's and later Boscov's, The Boston Store in Wilkes-Barre.
Catherine was a member of the Parish of Saint Therese.
Her husband, William S. Macking died December 20th 1999. Six sisters and brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are a daughter: Terry and her husband Peter Wendrychowicz of Mahwah, New Jersey, a son, Pete and his wife Jane Macking of Alpharetta, Georgia, grandchildren, Dawn-Marie Lombardi, Mark, Scott, Kelly, Jessica and Keith Wendrychowicz, Heather Alesio, Michael, Matthew and Shawn Macking, great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan and Nicholas Lombardi, Lillian Alesio and Nolan Wendrychowicz, and a sister: Peggy Slayton of Lindenhurst, New York
Funeral Mass in Honor of Catherine’s Life will be held Thursday at 10:30AM in the Church Of Saint Therese with Monsignor John W. Jordan and Monsignor Francis J. Callahan, concelebrating. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
Friends may call at the church on Thursday beginning at 9:30 AM
