Charles L. Perez III

On Wednesday, April 25, 2018, Charles L Perez III (Chaz) lost his battle with heroin addiction. Chaz was the beloved and only child of both of his surviving parents, Charles L. Perez, Jr. and Melissa McClay Reiser.

Chaz was born in Wilkes-Barre on April 26, 1988. He attended Elmer L. Meyers High School and Wilkes-Barre Vo-Tech. Chaz was very proud of his accomplishment of his G. E. D. that he received as a young adult. Most recently, Chaz was employed at Keyco Warehouse.

Chaz had an infectious laugh and smile, coupled with a devilish and well-developed sense of humor. These attributes will be missed most by all those who knew and loved him.

Chas will be greatly missed by his parents; beloved son, Colby Perez; step-mother, Margie Perez; paternal grandparents, Charles L. and Mary Lou Perez; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Anne Farrell; step-brother, Tyler Stobodzian; step-sister, Jillian Stobodzian; aunts and uncles, Mary Lou Perez-Zerfoss and Frank, Robb McClay and Jessica, and Joseph Farrell and Dawn; cousins, including Jocelyn Zerfoss, Catherine Naessig, Cassandra McClay, Paige Quick, Robb McClay, Millie Farrell, and Quinn Farrell; other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a trust fund established for Colby Perez. Please make checks payable to Mary Lou Zerfoss, trust administrator, and send to 9 S. Welles Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA. 18702.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, April 29th, from 4 to 6 PM at McLaughlin’s, 142 S. Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.
