Christopher Malia, 42, of Hanover Township passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, March 17th.
Born January 14, 1975 in Virginia he was a son of Marie Tomcho Kuzminski and step-son of John Kuzminski of Wilkes-Barre, and son of the late Michael Aloysius Malia, III.
Chris was a 1993 graduate of Hanover Area High School. He was previously employed by Carpenter Certech.
Chris was a loving father to his sons. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, including his mother and step-father, his wife of seventeen years, Stefanie Wheeler Malia; sons, Christopher, Kyle, Hayden and Lucas; brother, Michael and his wife Kristina; sister, Ashley Morrow; maternal grandmother, Florence Cook; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Celebration of Chris’s Life will begin Tuesday with visitation from 4 to 7 PM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and continue there on Wednesday with gathering at 8:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery in Sugar Notch.
