Daniel B. Gallagher, 94, peacefully passed away in his family home on October 14, 2024.

He was born May 25, 1930, in Wilkes-Barre, the son of the late Daniel Bernard and Marguerite O'Donnell Gallagher. 

Daniel attended Meyers High School. He joined the United States Army and proudly served our country from 1952 to 1954. He spent over thirty years working for the American Red Cross and was a lifelong member of the Church of Saint Patrick.

His sisters, Evelyn Evans, Marguerite Fladd, and Kathleen Lenahan, and nephews, Kevin Lenahan, Ned Lenahan, and Joe Fladd, preceded him in death.

His nieces and nephews, Rosemary Evans Veresink, James Lenahan, Eileen Evans Colahan, Robert Fladd, Marguerite Lenahan Barket, and Kelly Lenahan Boyle, and sixteen great-nieces and -nephews will miss him very much.

Celebration of Daniel's Life takes place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, with visitation from 9 to 10:30 AM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. It continues with a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in the Church of Saint Patrick.

Donations to the American Red Cross, redcross.org/donate, are preferred and will honor Daniel's memory.
