David Lee Bossard, 74, of Wilkes-Barre passed away peacefully at his home on February 24, 2021.
Born November 11, 1946 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Delmas and Marion Hobbs Bossard.
Dave was a 1965 graduate of E.L. Meyers High School and continued his education at Williamsport Technical Institute.
Dave retired after more than thirty years of service in the parks and recreation department and street department of the City of Wilkes-Barre. He remained behind the scenes as an integral part of the operation of the family business, Anthracite Newsstand, in Wilkes-Barre.
Dave was a 50-year member of the F&AM Lodge 61 where he served as Past Master. Always telling jokes, he had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved animals and enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly walking, hiking, and fishing.
A brother-in-law, Francis Corcoran, Jr., and niece, Mary Ann Skok, preceded him in death.
His wife, the former Ann Marie Corcoran; brother, Delmas Bossard, Jr. and his wife Lorraine of Clarks Summit; sisters-in-law, Bettye Lou and her husband Bob Bovolick, and Millie Confair; nieces and nephews, Pamela and Dana Bossard; Samantha Bovolick, Bobby Bovolick, Patrick Corcoran, Jacki Corcoran, Billy Jacobs, and Beth Ann Howells; great-nephew, Robbie Bovolick; other family and friends will miss him much.
Dave's family will celebrate his life privately.
Memorial donations to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge are preferred.
