David Mason Wren, Sr., 59, of North Pennsylvania Avenue in Wilkes-Barre entered into eternal rest on Friday with his wife and sister at his side. David was brave and valiant throughout his nearly one-year fight with pancreatic cancer.
Born September 3, 1951 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Harold and Agnes Mason Wren.
David was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School.
David was a courier for Laboratory Corporation of America for more than twenty years prior to his illness.
David was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, good nature and love of life and family.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, the former Deborah Russell; children, David Mason Wren, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Larksville, Melissa Wren of Wilkes-Barre, Angela and her husband Christian Bouselli of Hanover and Desiree Wren of Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Benjamin Bouselli, David Mason Wren, III and Jocelyn Bouselli; and brothers and sisters, Lizbeth Mashunas of Jenkins Township, Robert Wren of Wilkes-Barre, Annette Keesecker of Arizona, Ronald Wren of North Dakota and Harold Wren of Wisconsin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
David’s family extends a special thank you to Dr. David Greenwald, Sally, Katie and the rest of the staff of Medical Oncology Associates. And, to the entire staff of 5 East and 4 East of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital; the kindest, most compassionate people who helped so much during a most difficult time, a very sincere thank you.
Celebration of David’s Life will be held Wednesday at 7 PM at McLaughlin's Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin’s on Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM.
Memorial donations may be made to Medical Oncology Associates Prescription Assistance Fund, 382 Pierce Street, Kingston 18704-5535, to help defray the great expense of cancer medication
