Dawn Huffman Galavitz, of Dunmore, died Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, at the age of 60.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on June 5, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Henry "Bud" Huffman and the late Ruby L. Huffman.
Dawn was a 1975 graduate of Elmer L. Meyers Junior/Senior High School in Wilkes-Barre and was a member of Parker Hill Community Church in Dickson City.
Along with raising three children, Dawn spent many years working tirelessly in the home health industry in the Scranton area. She loved Jesus, her children, grandchildren and extended family.
Surviving are a brother, Lynn W. Huffman, Montoursville; son, John N. Stange, IV, and daughter-in-law, Andrea, Langhorne; daughter, Tami Christianson, and son-in-law, Hans, Dunmore; daughter, Stephanie Basalyga, and son-in-law, Adam, Scott Township; grandchildren, Hannah, Jay, Daniel, Julia, Olivia, Kate, Sydney, Ethan, Ellie, Emma, and Eli; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and -nephews.
Celebration of Dawn's Life will be held Tuesday, May 29, with visitation beginning at 9 AM and followed by a memorial service led by her son, Pastor John Stange, at 11 AM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Hanover Cemetery.
