Dorothy Orth Lawall, 68, a longtime resident of Wilkes-Barre died Monday.
Born December 20, 1943 in Pittston she was a daughter of the late Louis and Alice Hennigan Orth.
Dorothy was a graduate of Pittston High School and dedicated most of her life to caring for her family.
Her husband of thirty-two years, Edward R. Lawall died February 6, 2002. Sisters, Mary Alice Redington and Carol Reedy, and a brother, Louis Orth also preceded her in death.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Kevin and his wife Kimberly Lawall of West Wyoming and Mary Alyce and her husband Steven Langdon of Wilkes-Barre; grandsons, Steven and Edward Joseph (EJ) Langdon and Hunter Thomas Lawall; sisters, Margaret Duda of Plymouth, Elizabeth Klush of Pittston, Sally Colarusso of Pittston and Denise Orth of Pittston; brother, Robert Orth of Avoca; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Dorothy’s Life will be held Friday beginning at 8:30 AM at McLaughlin’s – The Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
