Edmund R. Duffy, 75, of Dallas died Monday, June 4, 2018.
Born January 1, 1943 in Kingston he was a son of the late Edmund R. and Rita Hodgson Duffy.
A graduate of Meyers High School in Wilkes-Barre he completed post-graduate studies at Wyoming Seminary.
Duff enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1961 and served four years.
Before retiring in 1997 he was employed by the Procter & Gamble Company for thirty years.
Duff was a bit of a Civil War expert who conducted many detailed presentations at Pickett's Charge through the years. He also enjoyed camping, hiking and fishing, and was an enthusiastic fan of the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Phillies and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.
Ed will be greatly missed by his wife, the former Annette Ciminello; children, Diane Brink of Wilkes-Barre, Thomas J. and his wife Colleen Duffy of Dallas, and RyAnn Link of Wilkes-Barre; step-daughter, Julie and her husband Alan McMahon of Moneta, Virginia; grandchildren, Julie, Abigail, Megan, Morgan, Brigid, Connor, Aidan, Erin and Brandon; brother, Richard T. and his wife Charlotte Duffy of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; other family and friends.
Celebration of Ed's Life will be held Friday with a Memorial Service at 11 AM in the Bennett Presbyterian Church, 501 Bennett Street in Luzerne. Interment with military honors will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen.
