Edward Longfoot, 70, of Wilkes-Barre passed away Monday with his family at his side after a long illness.
Born December 2, 1946 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late John and Dorothy Esser Longfoot.
A member of Teamster Local 401, Ed drove for Fullmer Trucking and North Penn Transfer for more than twenty years. He was a licensed agent for Western-Southern Life Insurance Company and worked as a courier for Wilkes-Barre General Hospital before retiring.
Ed enjoyed playing baseball and coaching Little League Baseball, as well as watching football, especially his beloved Cowboys.
His brother, Joseph and sister, Jane preceded him in death.
Ed will be greatly missed by his wife, the former Kimberly Smith; children, Michael and his wife Jillian, Fawn, John and his fiancée Katie, Antoinette, Alice, Edward and Ashley; grandchildren, Marissa, Machayla, Michael, Cambria, James, Nicole, Jayce and Tanner; brothers, Jack, Robert and Paul Longfoot; sisters, Elizabeth Dudkiewicz, Joan Michalow and Rita Jacobs; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Celebration of Ed’s Life will begin Thursday with visitation from 4 to 7 PM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and continue there on Friday with services led by Pastor Ron Swanson at 11 AM.
