Edward F. Zabroski, 75, of Jenkins Township, peacefully passed away in the presence of his loving family after a brief illness at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital on Sunday, August 28, 2022.
Born March 29, 1947 in Wilkes-Barre, Eddie was the son of the late Anthony and Mary Barrett Zabroski.
A graduate of GAR High School, Class of 1965, Eddie was in the commercial printing industry and later became an antique dealer before retiring.
Eddie had a special place in his heart for animals. He volunteered at the SPCA and, to the dismay of Patti, often opened up their home to many homeless pets, as evidenced by the five cats and a dog he shared with Patti.
His wife of forty-eight years, Patricia (Patti) Walsh Zabroski, and daughter Catherine (Cathy) Zabroski and her husband Andy Karpinski; other family and friends will miss him very much.
Eddie's family extends their gratitude to the nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, phlebotomists, transport, and environmental services staff of Wilkes Barre General Hospital for their care and support for Eddie and his family. And special thanks to the ICU nursing staff as they were the guardian angels for the family and Eddie.
Celebration of Eddie's Life takes place Thursday, September 1, 2022, with visitation beginning at 9 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saints Peter and Paul on Hudson Road in Plains.
Donations to the Luzerne County SPCA, 524 East Main Street, Wilkes Barre, PA 18702, will honor Eddie's memory.
