Eileen C. Riley

Eileen C. Riley, 77, of Wilkes-Barre died Thursday, August 4, 2016.

Born March 18, 1939 in Sugar Notch she was a daughter of the late Michael J. and Mary Kane Riley.

Eileen was a graduate of Sugar Notch High School and the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.
A registered nurse, Eileen concentrated her practice in geriatrics at Little Flower Manor in Wilkes-Barre and Mercy Center in Dallas before retiring.

A member of the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima, she was a daily communicant at the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Eileen volunteered at Saint Vincent de Paul Kitchen and loved her Irish heritage.

Her brothers, Michael and Bernard Riley and sister, Molly Walsh preceded her in death.

Eileen will be greatly missed by her sister, Carolyn Stempien; other family and friends.

Celebration of Eileen’s Life will be held Tuesday with gathering at 8:30 AM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
