Eileen I. Rodzinak, 67, of Wilkes-Barre passed away Tuesday at Golden Living Center - Summit.
Born December 27, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY she was a daughter of the late John Thaddeus and Amelia Kraujalis Rodzinak.
After the passing of her father when she was fourteen, her mother moved the family to Wilkes-Barre where Eileen spent the rest of her life.
Eileen graduated from Annunciation School in Brooklyn, Coughlin High School and Wilkes-Barre Business College.
Eileen was a nursing aide at Summit Nursing Home and Mercy Hospital in Wilkes-Barre. She also worked for Friedman's Express and Landaus in Plymouth.
A member of the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima, Eileen was a communicant at the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception.
In her younger years Eileen was an avid bowler. She had a talent for the piano and a love for the trumpet. She also loved rings of all shapes and sizes, especially hearts.
Eileen had an artistic ability which led to her doing portraits of President John F. Kennedy and an unfinished portrait of Robert Kennedy.
Eileen was a loving and devoted daughter, sister and aunt. As she suffered much throughout her life, there is comfort in knowing that now she is in the loving arms of Jesus.
A niece, Lori Ann Mecca preceded her in death.
She will be greatly missed by her sisters, Geraldine Mecca of Moosic Lakes and Deborah Ann Rodzinak of Wilkes-Barre; nephews, Tristan John Oldershaw of Maryland and Shane Donald Oldershaw of Wilkes-Barre; a niece, Bianca Kaitlyn Oldershaw, attending graduate school in Georgia.
Celebration of Eileen’s Life will begin Saturday with visitation at 8:30 AM in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception, 130 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. Funeral Mass will celebrated at 9 AM.
