Elaine M. Hartman

Elaine M. Hartman, 64, of Wilkes-Barre went home to be with her Lord on November 14, 2021.

Born July 22, 1957 in Kingston she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Constance Hartman. Elaine attended Wyoming Valley West High School.

Elaine worked in customer service for many years with various companies, the last being Sundance Vacations. She also worked in the family business, Hartman's Restaurant, when it was open.

Elaine was family- and friend-orientated. The love for her daughter and grandchildren cannot begin to be measured. They loved her so much they were her world, and she theirs.

She was a strong-willed person and fought hard till the end. She had a personality you could not forget and a smile that would live in your heart and mind forever. Her life was a blessing, and her memory will be a treasure; she was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Frank, and a son, Shawn.

Her daughter, Gina Gaskin and her husband Kenny; sisters, Beth and her partner Sharon, Sue and her husband Raul; brother, Sterling; and her wonderful granddaughters, Jaleesa and Jayla Gaskin; numerous nieces and nephews; other family and dear friends will miss her very much.

No more pain and suffering; you are free now, Mom. I love you forever and always.

Celebration of Elaine's Life will be on Friday with visitation from 9 to 11 AM, concluding with a prayer service at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
