Elaine Rowe, 62, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.

Born October 21, 1959 in Somerville, New Jersey she was a daughter of the late Arthur J. and Eleanor Flasser Rowe.

Elaine was a 1978 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School. She worked for Luzerne Optical Laboratories and was previously employed by Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and the Lord & Taylor Distribution Center.

Elaine was known for her kindness and compassion. A lover of animals, she rescued many cats through the years.

Elaine was a member of the Parish of Saint Nicholas.

Elaine's sister, Barbara of Wilkes-Barre, and other family and friends, including her lifelong friend, Paula Ell Klass and her family, will miss her very much.

Elaine's family extends special thanks to Kristin White for caring for Elaine's cat, Callie, and River Run's staff, especially Jill Prutzman, her lifelong friend, and nurse, for their outstanding end-of-life care. We are grateful for those who shared their love, prayers, and financial assistance during her recent illness.

Celebration of Elaine's Life includes visitation on Monday, May 16, 2022 beginning at 9 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas, 226 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre.
