Florence Klug, 86, of Wilkes-Barre passed away at her home on Sunday morning.
Born September 12, 1931 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Birmer Klug.
A graduate of Saint Nicholas High School, Florence was a produce office clerk for the ACME Warehouse in Forty Fort for more than forty years before retiring.
A dedicated member of the Parish of Saint Nicholas, she volunteered her time in support of the church.
Her family was very important to her: a sister, Mary, and brothers, John Harold and Gerald Klug, and sister-in-law, Lorraine Basler Klug, preceded her in death.
She will be greatly missed by her sister-in-law, Hannah Klug of Nanticoke; nieces and nephews, Mary Klug of Wilkes-Barre, Gerald Klug of North Carolina, Jo Jimison of Hanover Township, Sylvia Shemelewski of Shickshinny, Steven Klug of Parsons, Chris Klug of Nanticoke and Margaret Mary Taylor of Colorado; great- and great-great-nieces and –nephews, other family and friends.
Florence’s family is thankful for the excellent care she received from the staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart and her Bayada Health Care aide, Mary Jo.
Celebration of Florence’s Life will be held Wednesday with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas. Interment will be in Saint Nicholas Cemetery.
Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart.
