Frances Tabor Lyons, 66, formerly of Wilkes-Barre died Wednesday at her home in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.
Born December 7, 1944 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of Frances Naklicki Tabor of Dallas and the late William Tabor.
Raised in Lee Park, Frances was a graduate of Hanover High School.
Frances' career path varied throughout her life, being last employed as a correctional officer for the State of North Carolina. Most recently, she was a homemaker.
Frances was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by her mother; husband, Theodore P. Lyons; children, Ted and his wife Callie Lyons of Apex, North Carolina, Denise and her husband Ray Culp of Shavertown, and Michael and his wife Casey of Wilmington, North Carolina; grandchildren, Kelsey, Shelby and Teddy Lyons, and Kristi and Jason Culp; brothers, William and his wife Carol Tabor of Dallas and Robert and his wife Carole Tabor of Lehman.
Celebration of Frances’ Life will be held Saturday at 9 AM from McLaughlin's Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Church of Saint Therese, Pioneer Avenue at Davis Street in Shavertown. Entombment will be in Saint Mary's Mausoleum in Hanover Township.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin’s on Friday from 6 to 8 PM
