George Endler, 90, a lifelong resident of Wilkes-Barre died Monday at his home.
Born November 8, 1926 he was a son of the late Philip and Johanna Bergstrasser Endler.
George attended city schools. An Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, he served for more than four years and attained the rank of Corporal.
George retired after working many years at Little Flower Manor.
George was a member of the Parish of Saint Nicholas throughout his life.
His wife, Josephine Blaine Endler, died December 2, 2005. His brothers, John Endler, Sr. and Robert Endler also preceded him in death.
Surviving are a niece and nephews.
Celebration of George’s Life will begin Thursday with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and continue with a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas. Interment will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
