George M. Hebda

George M. Hebda, 78, of Plymouth, passed away at his home on July 21, 2022.

Born March 9, 1944 in Luzerne he was a son of the late Joseph and Lauretta Nafus Hebda.

George was a graduate of Westmoreland High School. He was the proprietor of G.H. Construction from 1985 to 2005.

George was a devoted husband, loving father, and adoring grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved relaxing and fishing with his family and friends at and on Lake Silkworth and on vacations.

George was a talented woodworker and enjoyed restoring cars and car shows.

Brothers Joseph, John, and Richard Hebda preceded him in death.

His wife of fifty-eight years, Nancy Arnold Hebda; children Melanie (John) Kocher, April Maher, and Michelle Hebda of Plymouth, and George Hebda of Forty Fort; grandchildren John, Stephanie, Jessica, Jenna, Lily, George, William, and James; great-grandchildren Rylee, Joseph, Lucas, and Hayden; brother Robert Hebda and sister Lauretta (Mike) Amos of Luzerne; other family and friends will miss him very much.

Celebration of George's Life includes visitation beginning at 3 PM and concluding with a time for sharing at 6 PM on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre.
