George Matthew Narcum Jr. of Dallas, passed from this life on Monday, November 14, 2016.
Born March 30, 1957 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of Chardell Gardner Narcum and the late George M. Narcum, Sr.
He grew up in Forty Fort with his six siblings, graduated from Wyoming Valley West HS and attended Pennsylvania State University, Wilkes-Barre Campus.
George and his former wife, Annmarie Stenger Narcum, built a home in Dallas and raised their three children. He worked for many years at Commonwealth Telephone Company and enjoyed spending his time outdoors hunting and camping. He loved to spend time at the family cabin in Potter County, “God’s Country.” He spent years coaching his oldest daughter on the basketball court and officiating high school basketball games, and later in life, spent time racing bikes with his two younger children and friends. He was always so proud of his three beautiful kids.
In addition to his mother, Chardell, he is survived by his children, Bridget and her husband Matthew Occhiato, George “Chad” Narcum III, and Kristine Narcum; granddaughter, Evelyn Occhiato; his brother, Paul Narcum; sisters, Patricia Kupstas, Cathy (Don) Wolfe, Maribeth (Joe) Sheehan, Jean (Mike Kerchner) Narcum, and Nancy (Howard) Pope, as well as nephews, nieces, and cousins. George was deeply loved and his memory will be carried in the hearts of so many.
A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
