Gilbert P. Martinez, Veto, 93, of Wilkes-Barre passed away peacefully at Residential Hospice on December 24, 2020.
Born March 15, 1927 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Emanuel and Pauline Martinez.
A graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School, Veto was a proud 66-year member of I.B.E.W. Local 126 as an equipment operator.
An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping, Veto loved taking river trips with family members down the Susquehanna River.
Brothers, Frank, Johnny, Manuel, Alfonso, David, Augustine, and Jesse, and a sister, Alyce Wilkinson, preceded him in death.
Veto's numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins will miss him much.
Veto's family will celebrate his life privately.
