Howard H. Phillips, 53, of Kingston, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021.
Born May 31, 1968 in Lapeer, Michigan he was a son of Sharon Wilcox Tilghman and stepson of the late Bob Tilghman.
Howard enlisted in the United States Army at age seventeen, retiring as a Sergeant after a more than fifteen-year career stationed across the country and around the globe. Before retiring, he also served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard at the 109th Field Artillery in Kingston and the Joint Force Headquarters in Annville. Howard later worked for Pride Mobility in Exeter before retiring.
Howard was a member and Past Commander of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 283 in Kingston.
His brother, Rick, died December 6, 2020, and his stepfather, Bob, died August 29, 2021.
His wife, Sunny; daughter, Amanda; son, Joseph; mother, Sharon; sisters, Tammy Noaker and Jacki McLean; nieces, nephews, and other family and friends will miss him very much.
Celebration of Howard's Life begins Wednesday, October 13, 2021 with visitation from 4 to 7 PM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre.
Private interment with Military Honors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
