John J. Brennan, Jack, 85, of Kingston, died August 14, 2023.
Born April 18, 1938 in Kingston he was the son of the late Martin Brennan and Elizabeth Brennan.
Jack graduated from Kingston High School, Class of 1956, and King's College, Class of 1960.
After graduation, Jack worked for the US Department of Labor. He then began a long and successful career in International Banking, living worldwide, including in Mexico, the Philippines, Australia, and Singapore.
After retiring, Jack moved back to Kingston and continued to travel extensively. For many years he split his time between Italy and Kingston. Jack was a member of St. Ignatius Church.
Jack was preceded in death by his brothers, Martin and Leo, and his sister, Mary Beth.
He will be greatly missed by his brother Paul Brennan; sister-in-law Eileen Brennan; niece Liz (Brennan) Sheehy and her husband, Dave; nephew Matthew Brennan; great-nephew Timothy Sheehy; great-niece Caroline Sheehy; great-niece Norah Sheehy; as well as many close friends all over the world.
Celebration of Jack's Life takes place Friday, August 18, 2023, with visitation beginning at 9 AM and a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Ignatius, 339 North Maple Avenue in Kingston. Burial will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery.
Donations to Friends of the Poor Scranton are preferred and will honor Jack's memory.
