John Peter Richards

November 19, 2017 — May 16, 2022

John Peter Richards, four and a half, passed away peacefully in his mother's loving arms with his father by his side on Monday, May 16, 2022.

John was born in Philadelphia and lived the first three and a half years of his life in Conshohocken before moving to Mountain Top with his family.

John was a gentle and patient soul who touched so many lives. He embodied unconditional love.

He loved being cuddled, tickled, read to, sung to, and held. His favorite song was You Are My Sunshine. He loved being around his sister and brother.

John attended pre-school at John Heinz in Wilkes-Barre, where he worked very hard to learn new skills.

His maternal grandfather, John Mooney, after whom he was named, preceded him in death.

His parents, Peter and Kathleen Richards, older sister, Eve, younger brother, George, maternal grandparents, Kevin and Alice Foley, paternal grandparents, Raymond and Barbara Richards, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, including his very special and close cousin, Keirsi, will miss him very much.

Celebration of John's Life will be on Friday, May 20, 2022, with visitation at 1 PM followed by a Funeral Mass at 2 PM in the Church of Saint Jude in Mountain Top.

Donations to CURE Epilepsy, cureepilepsy.org, will honor John's memory.
