John J. Sabatini of Pace Street in Larksville died Wednesday at his home.
Born February 24, 1942 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Oliver and Catherine Alles Sabatini.
John was a graduate of Saint Leo's High School in Ashley and Wilkes-Barre Business College.
An Army veteran, he served during the Vietnam Era.
John was an assistant manager for Weiss Markets in Dallas for twenty-five years. He later worked as a corrections officer at the state correctional institutions at Mahanoy City, Retreat and Dallas before retiring.
He will be missed by his wife, the former Margaret Mitchell; sons, Joseph John Sabatini of Larksville and Michael John and his wife Sandi Sabatini of Trussville, Alabama; grandsons, Joseph, Jacob and Matthew Sabatini
Celebration of John’s Life will be held Tuesday at 8:30 AM from McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9 AM in the Church of Saint Ignatius. Entombment will be in Saint Mary's Mausoleum in Hanover Township.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Monday from 4 to 7 PM.
