John J. Hornsby, 58, of Mountain Top died Wednesday at his home.
Born 11 April 1951 in Wilkes-Barre Township he was a son of the late Joseph A. and Eileen Mulligan Hornsby.
John was a graduate of Crestwood High School.
Prior to his illness, John was employed by Walmart for eighteen years and previously worked for American Cigar for eighteen years.
Surviving are brothers and sisters, Ann Marie Hornsby of California, Joseph J. Hornsby, Eileen Hagenbuch, Patricia Hornsby and James P. Hornsby all of Mountain Top, nieces and nephews.
Celebration of John’s Life will be held Monday at 9:15 AM from McLaughlin’s Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Church of Saint Jude in Mountain Top. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
Friends may call Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM
Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Box 27106, New York, NY 10087-7106
