Joseph B. McGill, 65, of Exeter died Saturday, January 13, 2018.
Born November 21, 1952 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Frank and Mary Murphy McGill. Joe was a 1971 graduate of Meyers High School.
Before retiring Joe was an electrician for thirty-four years and maintenance supervisor for his last four years at the Veteran’s Medical Center.
Joe was a member of the Parish of Saint Joseph Marello in Pittston. He was a Knight of Columbus, Fourth Degree, Bishop William J. Hafey Assembly and Plymouth Council 984 where he served as Past Grand Knight.
His first wife, Sharon Butcher McGill, and a brother, John, preceded him in death.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Dolores Quinn Partash McGill; a daughter, Crystal and her husband John Elko and their daughter, Natalia of Exeter; brother, James and his wife June McGill of Exeter; other family and friends.
Joe’s entire family is thankful for the wonderful care received from the nurses and staff of Celtic Hospice, Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, and the offices of Dr. Citti and Medical Oncology Associates, and for the love and support of family and friends.
Celebration of Joe’s Life will begin Tuesday with visitation from 4 to 7 PM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and continue on Wednesday with visitation beginning at 9 AM in the Church of the Parish of Saint Joseph Marello, 237 William Street in Pittston, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Interment will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
