Joseph R. Mulligan, 78, of Mountain Top died Thursday at his home.
Born June 27, 1936 in the East End section of Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Thomas P. and Brigid Frances Boyle Mulligan.
Mr. Mulligan was a member of Pipefitters Union #524 of Scranton since October of 1953. He also served in the United States Navy.
Mr. Mulligan was employed by Mid-East Caradon Aluminum in Mountain Top.
Joe was a communicant at the Church of Saint Jude in Mountain Top.
Brothers, Major Thomas F., Bernard and Gerald E. Mulligan preceded him in death.
Joe will be greatly missed by his foster sister, Mary C. Golden of Kingston; sister, Maureen Hoffman of Alden; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Celebration of Joe’s Life will be held Tuesday at 9 AM from McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Jude. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Monday from 4 to 7 PM.
