Judith Anne Benson

Judith Anne Benson, 67, of Kingston passed away peacefully on January 11, 2021.

Born April 3, 1953 in Washington, D.C. she was a daughter of the late Robert and Lydia Blakeslee Scrimager.

Judy was a licensed practical nurse at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for more than forty years before retiring.

Her sister, Katherine Watkins, and brother, Michael Allen Scrimager, preceded her in death.

Her husband of forty-six years, Robert John Benson, Sr.; son, Robert John Benson, Jr. and his wife Diane, and their daughter, Maggie, of West Nanticoke; daughter, Stefanie Benson of Lumberton, North Carolina; brother from another mother, Tommy Derr; aunts and uncles, including Jim and Joan Blakeslee Derr; nieces and nephews, including Chuck and Bev Benson; other family, friends, and her two loves, Tink and Tank, will miss her much.

Judy loved her Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Family and her home family is grateful for the love and care shared with her by the entire staff there, especially Dr. Mark Schiowitz.

Share in the Celebration of Judy's Life during visitation from 3 to 6 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre.

Mask and social distancing protocols will be in effect.

Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge.
