Karen McManus, 68, of Dallas died Saturday at Hospice Care of the VNA in Wilkes-Barre.
Born January 19, 1942 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late Eleanor Carlin Brisk.
Karen was a resident of Luzerne, where she was a member of the parishes of Sacred Heart and Holy Family, for more than fifty years.
An infant daughter, Kathleen and a brother, Carl Brisk preceded her in death.
Karen’s entire family is grateful to her sister Norene and niece, Scarlett Sirak for the care, concern and love they shared with her.
Karen will be missed by her children, Timothy, Jr. and his wife Maryann McManus of Mountain Top, Patricia and her husband John Malloy, Jr. of Luzerne, Tara and her husband Larry Territo of Luzerne and Sean McManus of Luzerne; grandchildren, Timothy, III and Derek McManus, Erin, John, III and Kaitlin Malloy, Cara McManus, Vaun and Larry Territo, and Sean McDermott; great-granddaughters, Peytin and Myla; sisters, Ruth Lyons of Wilkes-Barre, Nancy Segiel of Lockport, New York, Norene Dillman of Hanover Township and Sally Pokrifka of Wilkes-Barre; a brother, Nicholas Brisk of Wilkes-Barre and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held Tuesday at 10 AM at McLaughlin’s Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin’s on Monday from 5 to 8 PM.
