Kathleen Ellen Kane

Kathleen Ellen Kane, 28, passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving parents at their home on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.
Katie was the daughter of Michele and Kevin Kane. She was preceded in death by her brother, Sean Patrick Kane; grandparents, Kathleen and James Kane, and Ellen and Bob Heck; her aunt, Katie Adams; and her uncle, James J. Kane, Jr.
An alumnus of the Wyoming Valley Children’s Association, Kistler Elementary School, Plains Solomon Junior High School and Wyoming Area High School, Katie also attended Saint Joseph’s Center in Wilkes-Barre.
Katie’s mom and dad are grateful for the loving care she received throughout her life from her caregivers and medical professionals, especially her Bayada Registered Nurse, Stephanie Cole. Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to the Sean P. Kane Fund at the Luzerne Foundation, or the Wyoming Valley Children’s Association.
Celebration of Katie’s Life will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in the Church of Saints Peter and Paul on Hudson Road in Plains. Interment will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
