Leona Strohl Zimmerman

Leona Strohl Zimmerman, 95, formerly of Jenkins Township and a longtime resident of Montclair, New Jersey died Thursday at her residence in Nanticoke.
Born November 26, 1922 in Kunkle she was a daughter of the late Robert F. and Etta Cole Strohl.
Leona dedicated most of her life to caring for her family.
Her husband, William H. Zimmerman, Jr., an infant twin son, William, and brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Leona Zimmerman of Nanticoke; nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Leona's Life will be held at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 with visitation beginning at 10 AM followed by services led by Pastor Don Hartshorne at 11 AM. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
