Loraine Wampole Honeywell, 85, a longtime resident of Wilkes-Barre, peacefully passed away on March 19, 2024.
Born December 1, 1938 in Plymouth she was a daughter of the late David and Myrtle Jehu.
Loraine was a 1956 Plymouth High School graduate and was a reunion committee member.
Loraine was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Wilkes-Barre, where she served on the Board of Trustees, was a former Sunday School teacher, and served as church secretary.
Lorraine retired in 1998 after twenty-six years as Director of Purchasing for Deemers The Office People.
Loraine enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Her husband, Donald Honeywell, and sister, Beverly Snyder, preceded her in death.
Her children Carol Wampole Kelly and her husband Sean, Theodore B. Wampole, Jr. and his wife Susan, and Mark D. Wampole; grandchildren Stephanie Wampole Little, Heather Wampole Lafleur, Reagan, Hunter and Gage Wampole, Patrick and Michael Kelly; Teddy and Alex Wampole, and Nick Bair; three great-grandchildren; sisters Faye Nice and Millie Jenkins; and numerous nieces and nephews will miss her very much.
Loraine's family is grateful for the loving care and kindness of Wesley Village and Traditional Hospice staff.
Celebration of Loraine's Life begins Friday, March 22, 2024, with visitation from 4 to 7 PM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. It continues there on Saturday, March 23, 2024, with visitation at 9 AM followed by a service at 10 AM led by her niece Reverend Nancy J. Killingsworth.
Donations to the SPCA are preferred and will honor Loraine's memory.
