Marguerite Laura Murray, 85, of Wilkes-Barre went into the welcoming arms of the Lord on Sunday.
Born 17 April 1923 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Laura Evans Murray.
Marguerite was a graduate of Saint Ann's Academy.
Until her retirement, Marguerite was employed in the Wilkes-Barre Field Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.
Marguerite will be missed by all who were fortunate to be her friend. Her caring way, her loving smile and her loud whistle will be part of the memories that linger forever.
Her brother, Tom Murray and his wife Mildred preceded her in death.
Marguerite is survived by her devoted nephew Joseph F. Murray of Savannah, Georgia
aunt, Joan Evans of Wilkes-Barre, and numerous great-nieces and –nephews and cousins
Funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM from McLaughlin Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Hanover Township.
