Marie Tarnowski Cotter, 49, of Kingston died Friday following a lengthy illness.
Born April 1, 1962 in Nanticoke she was a daughter of Albina S. Makarczyk Tarnowski of Nanticoke and the late Leon M. Tarnowski.
A 1980 graduate of John S. Fine High School in Nanticoke, Marie earned her baccalaureate degree from the University of Scranton in 1984 and her Paralegal Certificate from King’s College.
Marie had been a paralegal in the litigation department of Rosenn, Jenkins and Greenwald for the past twenty years.
She will be missed by her mother; brother, Stephen and his wife Kathleen Tarnowski and their children, Stephen, Lisa and Amy of Mesa, Arizona; sister, Karen and her husband Bill Amesbury and their children, Elizabeth and Will of Wilkes-Barre; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including her significant other, Mike Belusko and her best buddy, Charlie.
Celebration of Marie’s Life will be held Monday at 8:30 AM from McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas. Interment will be in Saint Adalbert's Cemetery in Glen Lyon.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin’s on Sunday from 4 to 7 PM.
