Mark Borum, age 43 of Saint Joseph’s Center, Swoyersville died Saturday May 25, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born Nov. 26, 1969 in Wilkes-Barre he was the son of Virginia Mooney Borum and the late Joe Borum.
Mark had attended Saint Rocco’s school in Pittston, the Palmer Street School in Wilkes-Barre and later graduated from the Special Education Program at the Wilkes-Barre Vocational Technical School. After graduation Mark attended the Day Developmental Program; Creative Unlimited Possibilities; Senior Care and most recently the Saint Joseph Adult Day Program both in Plains Township.
In addition to his mother Virginia, Mark is survived by his brother Joseph of Nanticoke, a sister Karen Parcinski of Duryea, nieces and nephews Michael and Kara Parcinski; Abbigail, Nicholas, and Amy Borum along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mark’s family would like to extend a thank you to Dr. Saeed and the nursing staff at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital’s I.C.U. and 7th floor. A special thank you is given to the many care givers at Saint Joseph’s Center for the many years of care and guidance given to Mark. It is deeply appreciated by his family.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family with entombment in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Hanover Twp.
Mark’s family invite all who desire to join them for a Celebration of Mark’s Life to be held Monday from 5-7 PM at McLaughlin- the Family Funeral Service 142 S. Washington St. Wilkes-Barre.
