Mary Ann Ruotolo Kazanecki, 71, of Washington Square in Wilkes-Barre passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
Born June 11, 1949 in Pittston she was the daughter of the late Orest and Mary Maira Ruotolo.
A loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mary Ann had a heart of gold and would do anything to help anyone.
Mary Ann dedicated most of her life to caring for her family and later worked at Wesley Village for a few years before retiring. She enjoyed shopping, reading magazines, cooking holiday meals, spending time with her family, and being around those she loved.
A son-in-law, Jason J. Tavella, preceded her in death.
Her husband, John Kazanecki, with whom she would have celebrated twenty years of marriage on July 25th; daughters, Laura Tavella and her companion, Jim Kitzmiller of Thornhurst, and Marie Milewski of Pittston; son, Casimer T. Vermac, III and his wife Keri of Exeter; grandchildren, Corinne and Jonathan Milewski, and Karli Ann and Jason (JJ) Tavella; great-grandson, Hawkins Louis Milewski; step-children, Dr. Mary Fischer and her children, Kalina and Hal, and John and his wife Kody Kazanecki and their son, Dmitri; brother, Oreste Ruotolo of Pittston; other family and friends will miss her much.
Celebration of Mary Ann's Life will include a walk through visitation from 3 to 5 PM on Sunday, February 21st at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre, and a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM on Monday, February 22nd in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception.
