Mary Beth Etzle, 67, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 30, 2023.
Born April 3, 1956 in Wilkes-Barre she was the daughter of the late Francis W. and Angeline Racemus Ritz.
Mary Beth earned a degree in culinary arts from LCCC.
Mary Beth loved being a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service, and all her customers loved her. She retired in 2019.
She was an active community member and regular contributor to numerous good causes. Close to her heart were the Police K-9 Vest, her six greyhound rescues, and supporting a child's education in India.
Mary Beth enjoyed spending time working on her pond and garden at home. For over thirty years, she was a regular at Watkins Glen and Giants Despair racing events with her brother, Frank, and companion, Dan Conklin. She loved her regular motorcycle rides and annual trips to Jamaica with Dan.
Her brother, Frank, whom she loved and cared for in his final years, died May 7, 2016.
Her daughters Adrienne Duda and her husband Joseph, Sara Jennifer Miller and her husband Brian, and Mary Elizabeth Bird; her nine adored grandchildren and great-grandchild; other family and friends will miss her very much.
Celebration of Mary Beth's Life begins Wednesday, August 2, 2023, with visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. It continues there on Thursday, August 3, 2023, with gathering at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas.
