Mary C. Clarke, 88, of Wilkes-Barre died Thursday at Little Flower Manor.
Born May 18, 1926 in Carbondale she was a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Margaret Gildea Kerins.
Mary was a 1944 graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School.
Prior to retiring in 1987, Mrs. Clarke was a hearing assistant for the Office of Hearings and Appeals of the Social Security Administration in Wilkes-Barre.
Mary was a member of the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima and its Altar and Rosary Society and served as a Eucharistic Minister at the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Mary was also a member of the Ladies of Charity, Catholic Daughters of America, Donegal Society and Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She volunteered at Little Flower Manor, Heritage House and Red Cross Chapter House.
Her husband, James P. Clarke died March 11, 2002. Brothers, Joseph P. Kerins and David A. Kerins also preceded her in death.
She will be greatly missed by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held Tuesday at 8:30 AM from McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Monday from 4 to 6 PM.
