Mary Featherstone

Mary Featherstone, 65, of Wilkes-Barre died unexpectedly on Tuesday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley.

Born May 30, 1947 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late Mary Sherman Alles.

Mary was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School.

Before retiring, Mary was a nursing aide at Golden Living Center - Summit for twenty-seven years.

Mary was a member of the Parish of Saint Andrew and a communicant at the Church of Saint Patrick.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Christopher Featherstone; daughter, Toni and her husband Dennis Fernandes of Wyoming; grandchildren, Dallas Joseph Fernandes, Dion Fernandes, Darren and his wife Stephanie Fernandes, Danita and her husband Jorge Pires; great-grandchildren, Keenan and Faylinn Fernandes, and Skylah and Dacian Pires.

Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held Saturday at 8:30 AM from McLaughlin’s – The Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Patrick. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.

Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Friday from 5 to 9 PM.
