Mary Moran

Mary M. Padden Moran, 86, of Orchard West, Newberry Estate in Dallas and Spanish Lakes in Fort Pierce, Florida died Monday at her home in Dallas.

Born May 30, 1926 in Plains she was a daughter of the late William and Helen Dougherty Padden.

Mary was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School in Wilkes-Barre.

Before retiring Mary was employed in the mortgage department of the former First Eastern Bank for many years.

She was a member of the Parish of Saint Therese in Shavertown.

Mary enjoyed golfing and spent as much time as she could around the links at Newberry and Spanish Lakes.

Her husband, Robert J. Moran, died in 1980 and son, Robert J. Moran, Jr. died in 1996. Brothers, Rev. Neil A. Padden, O.F.M., Anthony J. and William Padden also preceded her in death.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Mary Cybuck of Budd Lake, New Jersey and Sally and her husband Attorney Richard Rogers of Plains; daughter-in-law, Christine Moran of Lake Hauto; son-in-law, Peter Cybuck of Budd Lake, New Jersey; grandchildren, Molly Cybuck, Michael and his wife Laurie Cybuck, Katie Moran and her husband Stephen Boccella, Megan Moran and her husband Mikkel Behnke, Sarah Rogers and Lauren Rogers; sister, Margaret Goodsir of Lake Ariel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held Thursday at 9 AM from McLaughlin's - The Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Therese. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.

Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM.
